So the female protagonist is supposed to be some genki girl while her opposite counterpart is a stoic boy. They really have a lot of opposites in balance with these new games, don't they? The legendaries even get in on this: Black Yin and White
Wang Yang Pokemon? There's a lot of symbolism in that. Maybe double battles are more important this time around? I'm getting pumped again. xDD
ARGH, I want to know the protagonists naaaammmes. I refuse to call either one of them a color referencing the game because I want their true names. (Lol, I will even wait for the official manga to come out before even trying to name those counterparts.) The female protagonist is probably the first design I immediately liked upon seeing it, and the boy actually reminds me of how great Red was (in a good way, not in a "rip-off" type way).
Also, Mijumaru is love. Do not even try to argue otherwise.

I used a
grunge texture by `
Princess-of-Shadows for the BG. I wish I could figure out how to use it properly on the shading to give it a more "textured/dirty" look. ;_; Also used some brushes by *
veredgf to make the text look worn and scratchy.
EDIT: Yeah, I made it blue to match with Mijumaru otherwise he stands out too much and looks out of place. Sorry if you liked the pink. )'=
AND P.S. HER NAME IS TOUKO BECAUSE THE JAPANESE FANDOM ON PIXIV KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT.
AND NOW WE FIND OUT HER ENGLISH NAME IS WHITLEA. WHICH IS APPARENTLY A BOY'S NAME BUT IDK. WHY DO THEY SPELL IT LIKE THAT, IF IT WAS "WHITLEY" IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE. NOW I WILL FORGET HOW TO PRONOUNCE IT.

besides who is it that decides right or wrong, who makes it where things are good and bad, who is it that gives limitations? nobody, everything is just an opinion, nothing in this world can be just what we label it.
please dont cry.something inspired you to do something thats not commonly done. it is like my favorite artist quoted.

"There is no abstract art.You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality"
